Hello, I’m Emily

I have always viewed my professional life as more of a vocation than a career. I desire to help others in meaningful ways so they may transition from a place of struggle to a place of growth and thriving. Ever since learning of occupational therapy as a high school student, I always knew it was the profession I was being called to fulfill. I graduated from Duquesne University with a Bachelors of Science in May 2006 as well as a Masters of Health Sciences in May 2007. Since then my professional experience has been focused in pediatrics, practicing in a variety of settings such as early intervention (0-3 yrs.), private therapy clinics, as well as home & school settings. I have had the privilege of working with many children with Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder, Down Syndrome, and general developmental delays. During this time my husband and I were growing our own family. It was through this personal experience of carrying, birthing, nursing, and caring for my own children that led me to discern the specialty of infant and maternal wellness within the scope of OT. In the fall of 2022, I completed studies in lactation counseling and passed the CLC exam in January 2023. Since then my passion for the OT as well as my passion for helping mothers, children, and families heal and grow have led me to you today. I am here for you. I would love to help support you in any way I can. I can’t wait to hear from you!

Referrals & Friends

It is always a honor when a family trusts me enough to enter into the intimate space of recovery, healing, struggle, or difficulty. Whatever the need may be that brings a family to my services, I am truly greatful for the opportunity to support them.

“Emily was hugely helpful to me during my first year postpartum. When I had a plugged duct and all the advice I saw online wasn’t working, she made a suggestion that WORKED and resolved my discomfort! Whenever I had a doubt about something and I was between pediatric appointments, Emily was my go-to person and she was always so helpful and encouraging. I highly recommend working with her to help mom and baby postpartum!”
